About this work
This summer at camp, I created an art piece that's quite unique. I started with a pencil to sketch the quirky, elongated form of a beetle, giving it a humorous twist. To define its contours, I used a sharpie, which brought out the peculiar details. The finishing touch was a blend of red and black colored pencils, artfully combined to produce a shadowy effect that gave the beetle's body a sense of depth and dimension.
