About this work
During math class at school, I crafted this artwork while learning about converting decimals to fractions and percentages. Our teacher decided to make this a little fun and let us design a picture using 200-pixel squares. After drawing and coloring, I calculated the percentage of each color used. I chose to depict a koala, my favorite animal. Seeking inspiration online, I was confident I could capture the essence of a koala within the given space.
